The Powerwall monitoring wiring and current-sensor orientation had been installed backward. We traced the power-flow signals, corrected the wiring direction and restored accurate solar, home, battery and grid monitoring.
We evaluated a Powerwall 3 solar shutdown problem by testing the photovoltaic strings and mid-circuit interrupter paths. This methodical process helps distinguish an MCI issue from conductor, connector or other solar-array faults.
